Language Matters: Pioneering an Informed and Responsible ESG Vocabulary
Amplifying minority voices for a greener future
At Color in Green, we are committed to amplifying the powerful voices of minority communities in the critical battle against climate change. Recognizing that environmental justice is inseparable from social justice, our mission is to provide a dedicated platform for marginalized voices to be heard, valued, and at the forefront of the conversation.
WELCOME TO COLOR IN GREEN
We strive to bridge the gap between environmental advocacy and the lived experiences of minority communities, fostering inclusivity, equity, and empowerment. Through storytelling, research, and collaborative initiatives, we aim to raise awareness about the disproportionate impacts of climate change on marginalized populations and highlight the innovative solutions emerging from these communities.
At the core of our mission is the belief that a sustainable and just future is only achievable when all voices are included and all perspectives are considered.

Join us as we work towards a world where diversity is not only acknowledged but celebrated in the global fight for a healthier planet. Together, we can build a more resilient and inclusive movement that addresses climate change with the urgency and attention it deserves, leaving no community behind.
ABOUT
Welcome to Color in Green! At Color in Green we are passionate about reshaping the dialogue on climate change and climate justice. As someone who recognizes the severe lack of diversity in these conversations, I'm dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and perspectives, and assisting in making climate conversations accessible and understandable to everyone.

Emergency Preparedness: Climate Ready Uptown Plan
Because the climate crisis is disproportionately impacting communities of color, our Climate Justice Working Group partnered with East Harlem COAD and Harlem Emergency Network to develop a community-driven emergency preparedness plan for Northern Manhattan. You can download the plan in English (PDF) and Spanish (PDF), and learn more about why this is a climate justice issue and how we developed the plan below. You can also download our recommendations for an emergency kit in English (PDF) and Spanish (PDF).
